Nutritious Banana

Bananas are a very healthy and nutritious food. One medium-sized banana contains about 1 gram of protein, 27 grams of carbohydrates (including 14 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber), 15 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C, 20 percent of the RDA for vitamin B6, and 20 percent of the RDA for potassium.

Done in Illustrator CS.
Took about 3 hours to complete. Actually this is just an experiment - exploring on how to apply some texture effects to the object. I got a few vector projects line up, so maybe this technique will be useful somehow ^^

I started with my usual gradient mesh and once the color and shading were completed, I covered the few layers on top with grain and texturizer effect, and lowered the opacities.
